Bank API & Privacy

You can add you transactions manually or connect to an bank via API. Depending on the bank, your data is processed and collected by different aggregators (bank API providers). These aggregators (Tink & Plaid), which meet the highest regulatory requirements in terms of security, translate your anonymized bank data into a unified language. finban collects this data automatically every 24 hours to ensure reliable and efficient use of the product.

Your data is safe with us in AWS (Amazon Web Services).

Your data is always stored and transferred encrypted. The storage takes place in by means of AWS on European servers in Germany (Frankfurt), so that they are kept in accordance with DSGVO. The security experts at AWS are constantly working to further increase security in the cloud. The data centers meet industry standards for security and reliability according to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and NIST SP 800-53.

We cannot see you data.
Your banking data is securely and encrypted (EBS Encryption) hosted using Amazon Web Service. EBS encrypts your volume with a data key using the industry-standard AES-256 algorithm. Find more infor here:
