The agency matchmaker Sortlist continues to expand. In the United Kingdom, Sortlist plans to create 200 jobs.

The platform and algorithm of the Belgium-headquartered company enable businesses to compare agencies and find the right agency for their project.

Matchmaking platforms for marketing services are nothing new. While they initially started as simple directories, AI has since made its way into the matchmaking process. Agency matching, for example, works with a self-learning algorithm that filters out the service providers best suited for each task. The Belgian provider Sortlist claims to already be profitable and to have the world's largest database of agencies and projects.

Sortlist is already present in five markets:

  • Belgium
  • France
  • Spain
  • Germany
  • Netherlands

Sortlist aims to consolidate its position as the European market leader with a new capital raise of 11 million euros. The company currently employs around 100 staff members. According to the company, Sortlist is already the leader in the French, Belgian, Dutch, and Spanish markets and has just completed another funding round. It is a good time to push the expansion forward. It remains to be seen whether Sortlist will succeed in establishing itself in Germany. Munich-based Agentur Matching has largely established itself and built a strong reputation, not least through partnerships (white-label solutions), such as with the industry association GWA and the magazine "Absatzwirtschaft."

According to W&W, the Munich-based company takes its potent competitors very seriously. There have reportedly already been talks between Agentur Matching and Sortlist about a cooperation. However, apparently no agreement could be reached.
